gaia

reading anne rice's book 'the vampire lestat" and the musings on eternity and immortality. chimes with my ideas of a "continual being", one that is however biased towards existence, so that, despite catastrophes, the odds, even if only slightly in favour, go towards life. rice describes this as a continual awareness or a continual knowing, even a continual intelligence, but not a supreme being. I don't see this as necessarily an intelligence, but more a drive. Gaia, might be our earth equivalent. this is perhaps what darwin thought of when he described evolution.
