Watching bush say to the head of fema - "Browny you're doing one heck of a job!" - is sick-making. It's as if american government were in the hands of a the local rugby club.

One thing that has been appalling is seeing the people involved in rescue apathetically and carelessly wandering past dead bodies. How can the USA look another nation in the eye, or take the moral high ground, when it can't even take care of, and respect, it's own dead?
